New Patriotic Party (NPP) Loyal Ladies in the Suhum Constituency of the Eastern Region has donated nose masks to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemics.
The ladies over the weekend hit the streets of Suhum township to embark on creating awareness on the pandemic alongside with the distribution of the nose masks.
Ahead of the new voter’s registration exercise, they also created awareness of the upcoming exercise in the markets and lorry stations in the area.
The ladies used the opportunity to brief residents on the need to ensure they had their valid identification, as well as guarantors, in order to seamlessly partake in the voter’s registration exercise.
They also stressed the need for them to practice all the precautionary measures put in place to help protect themselves from contracting the novel coronavirus.
They crowned their exercise with a distribution of nose masks to traders and drivers in the area.
The move was fo help protect them against infection, whilst going about their daily activities, topping it up with a placard campaign.
It will be recalled, that leading to the 2016 elections the Suhum Branch of NPP Loyal Ladies was brutally attacked and assaulted by thugs of the NDC when they embarked on a similar mission.
But this time around the event took place successfully without any incident.
