About 12 hours since President AkufoAddo announced partial Iockdown of Accra, Kumasi, Kasoa, and Tema, Residents stormed major markets to purchase some essential goods.
This emergency shopping has brought many people together and the fear of possible more spread of coronavirus has been raised.
Many are of the view that the country stands a chance of recording more coronavirus cases in the coming weeks.
Others say the government should be blamed for giving people less than 48 hours’ notice of a possible lockdown.
President, Akufo-Addo announced the lockdown of Accra, Kumasi, Kasoa, and Tema On March 27th, 2020 as at 11:15 pm.
The lockdown will begin on March 30th, 2020 at 1 am.
Areas that will be affected include; the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA, which includes Awutu Senya East), and the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area and contiguous districts.
But are we as a country ready to contain this possible spread of the deadly disease?
