Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lilwin recently posted a video of him doing his own rendition of Bosom PYung’s “Atta Adwoa” song with the logo of ABSA clearly embedded in the video.
This caught the eye of Kwame A Plus who also drew the attention of many to the logo and at a point lambasted ABSA for paying Lilwin instead of the original crooner Bosom PYung.
This grievance reached the camp of ABSA. As earlier shared on Ghpage.com, the company addressed the issue via a press statement dissociating itself from the said video and people who may be behind it.
In response, the management of Kumawood actor LilWin (Weezy Empire) has issued an official statement barely 24 hours after ABSA reacted to paying LilWin to duplicate the song.
In a statement signed by Weezy Empire Manager, Mr. Gilbert Yeboah, the management apologized to the affected company-ABSA, any individual who may also be affected and the general public.
The management attributed the fault to their editing bench and that they were abashed when social commentators pointed out that their video contravened the rights of another artist. They termed their act as “unprofessional”.
