Controversial singer and songwriter Shatta Wale believes he is the most hardworking artiste in Ghana and has recorded 69 billion songs since he became a musician.
He made the wild claim in an interview with UTV on Saturday. Shatta Wale has been in the Ghanaian music scene for over a decade, starting in the early 2000s as Bandana.
He re-branded to Shatta Wale in 2013 and has been very successful, winning awards both internationally and locally.
According to him, his total awards stands at 150. Some of the awards are with organizers and fans while he has some at home.
The host, Nana Ama McBrown then asked him about the number of songs he has recorded, Shatta Wale replied “roughly 69 billion”. Abeiku Santana and Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, who were also on the show, laughed.
